Thanksgiving is soon!!!

We are getting closer to Thanksgiving!!! Kursi has been learning all about Thanksgiving in her class. On Thursday she had her Thanksgiving lunch and got to be an indian!! She is also featured in a school picture book which will be auctioned off this weekend.

Bobby was in a play on Thursday. The 1st grade classes have been studying about indians and Bobby's class were the Inuit's!! He did a great job in his assembly (I'll post pics when I upload them)

Fall time is here and it has been unseasonably cold with temps only reaching in the 40's. I really hate the cold, especially the "wet" cold. But we still have our 10-0 Titans to cheer for!!!

Best wishes to all of you this week and I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving Holiday!!!

Halloween (late)

Hey All,

Happy belated Halloween!! I hope everybody had a great time. We took the kids over to the park for the festival. They are saying there were about 3500 kids that were there!! it was a lot of fun and we got plenty of candy. Afterwards we went trick or treating to some homes around the area and had a great time.

When we were finished we had friends over for our annual Halloween Chili dinner. Tracey did a wonderful job as usual.

As fall is coming around it is getting so cold!! I have not become accustomed to the humid cold. It just chills the bones. Maybe in about 10 years I'll get used to it. All the leaves have turned colors and most have now fallen off so the kids will be busy raking up big piles of leaves.
Good by for now!!

What a weekend!!!

This was the weekend of the Big Bobby Express!!! Bobby rushed for 2 touchdowns during a big win for his team. They don't keep totals of how many yards he rushed for and parents don't keep track (144 yrds on 10 carries) but I'm sure it was a lot of yards. Way to go Bobby!! That was the final game of the year. It was a bit sad for me to say bye to the little ones. I've had a great time coaching them and I hope they all had a great time playing this year.

Myiah did a great job cheerleading this year. She is now getting ready for the Christmas parade where she and her fellow cheerleaders will be riding a float!!

She had a great coach and made some wonderful friends. Now she will be getting ready for dance during the winter. Bobby will be starting basketball in a few weeks. This will be the first time I won't be coaching one of his teams. I was just brought on as the head basketball coach for St. Joseph's Middle School varsity team. I am real excited (and very nervous) about this opportunity. I can't wait for tryouts to be over with and get the season going.

Kurstyn has been having a great time going to the park for the games. She has become somewhat a Jr. Cheerleader and will be all ready for next year when she can begin cheering with the girls. She will be joining Myiah this year in dance so get ready for the dynamic duo, coming soon!!!

Here are some pic's from the football season. Until later...Remember to find ways to give meaningful service to others.

This week

Howdy peeps. Just updating everybody on this weeks activities. Bobby will be playing his last football game of the season on Sat. Myiah will be cheering hard from the sidelines as we strive to finish the season on a great note. I've been the football coach and have had a wonderful time with all the boys. I really enjoy working with the youth and watching them grow.

Myiah was just elected Vice President of her 4H club!!! I am so proud of her for this accomplishment. She was nominated by another person and they voted her in. Great job Myiah!!

I went in today and interviewed for the head coaching job at St. Josephs School and got the job!!! I'm very excited to be working with the boys. This is a middle school team (7th-8th grade) so I expect a few more grey hairs to pop up on my head.

Tracey has been working hard as always but she is doing an outstanding job at her work. She is working for AT&T and is consistently ranked in the top 10 for the South East region for her job.

Kurstyn has been learning lots in school. She has been learning about farm animals this week and was part of a puppet show last week with little stick puppets. Lately she has been going around the house singing "May the Lord Bless You" to a happy birthday tune. She is really an amazing and bright little princess.

Well, thats enough for now. Please find ways to give meaningful service to others :)

Summer with Nana and Bompo

Here are some pictures from when Nana and Bompo visited us during the summer. It was really nice having them come out.

Every blog has a beginning

Well, finally putting up a blog so family and friends can see what we have been up to. Yesterday was a great day. Kursi had a day off from school so we decided to have a daddy daughter day together. We went to the library where she entertained me with a wonderful puppet show.

We had a great time together!!!

As I mentioned Kursi is in Pre-K at St. Joseph's. She is having a great time. I was rather sad when I dropped her off for her first day of school and she didn't even ask me to stay. She didn't cry, grab me or feel sad. She just started playing with the other kids. I guess that I should be happy that she isn't the "klingy" kid but it is still kind of sad.

Bobby and Myiah are doing great in school. Myiah is in 4th grade and I'm telling you...she is already much smarter than I am (which isn't that hard) Bobby is in 1st grade and absorbing everything being taught to him. Bobby is playing football and Myiah is cheerleading for the team. I'm coaching Bobby's team and Tracey is over all the cheerleaders in the league. You may say that sounds cool but I'll tell you....Drama starts young with girls. I'll post some pictures of football and cheerleading in a bit.
